I would like to thank all of those who own NAID's that have responded in confirming this fact. Northeastern Kennel will make effort to keep this option as we continue to develop our breed.
PLEASE NOTE:
This breed is NOT Native American Indian Dog (NAID).
They are Native American Village Dogs (NAVD).
Native American Indian Dogs are not NAVD's. Northeastern kennel is using our NKC Registered NAID as a foundation female. She will be bred with a male who can offer her puppies certain desired characteristics, like its hypoallergenic. The male will compliment the foundations good qualities, while offering support towards others. This is an effort to produce a replica of the Native American Plains and Hare breed that have commonly known characteristics. Please note that the wolf-like looks are NOT from wolf hybrids.
They are a mix of Malamute, German Shepherd, Native American Tribe dogs,
which came from the NAID's foundation (our female).
Our puppies will have a new genetic make up with a selective mate compatibility.
